We are thrilled to announce that Caitlin Belanger will coach our Heat 18U College Showcase team for the 2012-2013 season.

Coach Belanger is a former standout from Holy Cross where she set numerous pitching and hitting records. She graduated in 2011 and has been playing softball professionally in Europe the past two summers.

Here are a few of Coach Belanger's accomplishments:

• Finished the 2011 Season with single season records in Hits (59), Runs Scored (40), and Stolen Bases (27)
  
• Finished the 2011 Season with a Team High Batting Average of .373
  
• Set career school record for stolen bases (55)
• Finished her collegiate career with a .335 Batting Average
  
• Finished her collegiate career with a 3.51 ERA
  
• Named to the 2011 Louisvill Slugger NFCA Division 1 All-Region Northeast Team
  
• Named to the 2010 and 2011 All Patiot League Teams
  
• Played professionally in Germany in the 2011 and 2012 seasons for the Neunkirchen Nighmares and played as an All-star both years
  

Our 18U Tryouts are this coming weekend, August 25-26th, from 8:30-10:00 AM (81 Creeper Hill Rd, North Grafton, MA). If you are unable to make it to tryouts due to HS sports commitments, please contact Paul Reilly at worcesterheatsoftball@gmail.com to arrange for a private tryout.
