03 Sept - Mon

Ran a 20K today --- just under a 9 minute pace.

I was really pleased, as I did not taper for this race at all. When I had the cold/flu on Aug 19, 20, 21 --- and dealing with the coughing and hacking since --- I had no time to taper.

I have been really concentrating to make sure my legs are driving forward with the big muscles in the legs. I had gotten into a bad habit of working from the lower part of the legs. It has taken a lot to break the bad habit.

I had a good 4-miler this afternoon - really surprising. Usually I'm dogging it the day after a long run - slow and tired legs. Today, I felt great.

    Great job to you both.

I had a nice fairly easy practice, our weather has been less than ideal for running dew point was 76.  10.5 miles, I did 2 easy before practice then  we did a min 40 trail run at a moderate pace we ended the trail run at a parking garage and did 4X200 hill sprints than another 3 miles after that.  A nice practice is very hot humid conditions.
