10 Sep - Mon

I am doing a double today.  Perfect weather this morning 60 and low humidity.  I did 4.5 easy trail miles pace was faster but felt easy, thank you weather.  Hard practice tonight.

    Good work on the double

I ran 18 today. The temperature was great -- 65. But there was a strong wind in my face the whole way out, and then it died when I was on the way back -- so no wind at my back. The wind blew so hard that there was times as it evaporated the sweat that I was -- dare I say it -- chilled. What a weird sensation that was.

Any way, the run was just okay. Not great but I have certainly had much worse.

Also, I saw three opossums on the side of the road today. The question which occurred to me was: how do you know if they are dead, or just playing dead?

There is a lot of time to think out there on 18 mile runs.

I snuck in a 5-miler Monday.  I say "snuck in" because I seem to have gotten a cold and maybe would have been better off without the run.  Oh, well.

Turned out to be an allergy flareup. It was mostly over by Wednesday morning. Some days I just feel like I forgot to take my antihistamine.
