Sent this to the race organizer as the event was canceled:

Hello, my wife and I drove from Pittsburgh and stayed overnight at a hotel to take part in the 5K.  When we got to the park we were told that it had been canceled due to lack of interest.  No website I have seen has shown this change in the status of the race.  We opted to arrive on the day due to the same-day registration which was offered.  Needless to say we are not happy.
