Last year, this event was very well supported and it is a great route. It includes two popular climbs in the area, Hi Mountain Road past Lopez Lake and Huasna Valley. Both are picturesque and quite different. The leg out to Nipoma isn't as challenging, but you get another change of scenery and pleasant roads. This is a fun, small ride with plenty of variety.
The addition of Wine Punch tickets should make for a treat after the ride. I am looking forward to it!
What a great ride!! Super support and organization. One note - this is a very "hilly" ride - be ready for a challenge! Overall, a great event and we can't wait to do it again next year.
The ride was great. The weather was perfect and riding the back roads of San Luis County is the perfect place to have a wonderful timesaw the deer, wild turkeys and quail that helped the enjoyment. Even better than last yearlets doit again.
We rode the 30 mile course and added on 10. The course was beautiful - shady country roads - and the volunteers were amazing. Great food at the rest stops and at the BBQ. I'd do this one again.
