I ran the first time yesterday and my I am aware of my heel. Makes me a little nervous
cause I had plantar fasciits 5 years ago. I went back to the running store where I
got my shoes and got some special inserts. The guy at the store was very helpful
and told me I should massage my foot before and after running with
either a ball or a can of soda. Any other ideas??? I really want to do this but also
How far did you run? Are you following a structured ramp-up program?

I am doing the C25K and so did the first day...I will really take extra time to stretch before I start and also when I end today
and see how it goes.
Be careful about stretching before the run. Some are saying stretching a cold muscle can hurt it. Stretching after the run is probably not a bad idea. When running if you land with a VERY pronounced heel strike you might shorten your stride a bit.
