Best rain jacket for cycling?

My old Burley rain jacket just gave up the ghost, and I need a replacement. I checked online, and it turns out they stopped making jackets in 2006, so you can see how old it was, and I expect the market it quite different now. I'm looking for a jacket to wear when I know I have to ride in the rain, not something with the main selling point that it can fold up into a pocket. I'm also tall with long arms and a long back, so anything that skews to a longer fit would be good. Obviously water repelling is important, as is breathing/vents, and a few pockets wouldn't go amiss.
Any suggestions? Preferably based on personal experience?
Thanks in advance.

I have this jacket and like the flexibilty it offers. Can be worn as full jacket or just vest in light rain.

This is what I ended up with:

It was expensive, but it was my 4th try- I returned 3 other brands that weren't long or big enough for me. (6'1" 250lb). I commute by bike daily, and it's got me through 3 downpours so far. The collar turns into a hood.

?I also am looking for a rain jacket and many people recommended:
for rain gear: http://www.Showerpass.com.
I have a Showers Pass jacket, and I love it. Just be sure to scout the different types and you will find one for your riding style (or at least your most frequent use). And the Showers Pass crew is also great.
This Pearl Izumi has served me well for years. It's a model line that they haven't tampered with much, which clearly suggests that it's very high quality.
