3 miles on the treadmill, 1% incline, in 25:44 (8:35 mile pace).


5 minutes walking before and after.

    No tumble weeds where you are, but out here...not so much either.  Got get to the dry areas like out in the central valley or Barstow.


    Nice run, DH!


    Had a race today, billed as a 5m run/half marathon.  Wife did the 1/2 and I did the ~5m run.  Wife got off course and ended up running 14.3 - but, still got second in her AG.  I ran a 35:59, which they calculated as 7:30/mile so guestimating the course at 4.8 miles (not even an 8K).  Ran in my raceing flats, feet are still sore from the 1/2.  It was fun.  Woman finished first!  I think I was only 5 minutes behind...It was a little warm for me, first time I've run w/o a shirt in LONG time...

    Got 4 miles on the dread mill. Had a busy week and put off running, which is exactly the wrong thing to due. So, reoriented my "priorities" and hit the treadmill.  I will get a run in tomorrow before leaving to Vegas on biz.  I have usually done pretty well in the past while traveling there as most hotels have good gyms and treadmills.  I don't drink and sitting around in casinos gets old pretty quick, so working out becomes a preferred option.


    I am determined to get 20+ miles in one way or another this week.


    Good runs there Ray and DH.  Glad to hear your power did not go out DH. the destruction from Sandy is massive.

    Sorry for not keeping up with the daily thread, it gets old posting the same old bike ride every day, so I may miss a day or two along the way.


    Dark Horse, my foot is making progress, but it's real slow.  I haven't bought a boot to wear at night, but stretch my foot in the morning before getting out of bed and step right into a supportive pair of running shoes without taking a single barefoot step.  The result is no pain in my foot, which is what I understand has to happen before it'll heal.


    I got on the Nordic Track machine for 20 minutes today.  With the tension set high enough, it's actually a good workout.

    Enjoy life, this ain't a rehearsal...
