Good cause, good turnout, but this is not really an event for competitive runners. The course of three laps around the perimeter of the shopping center cause lead runners to have to fight thru large crowds of oblivious walkers on the gun lap. In some sections, there was a wall of walkers/dogs the entire width of the road who did not realize there were runners coming up behind them. It was also hard to tell where the final turn into the middle of the shopping center, and the finish line, were located.
The course is also a tad long so the times seemed slow. But, it was nice and flat.
Also, what is up with the race director telling folks that race day registration was cash only or make the check out to him personally. Really? Just where does that money go?
Can't say I will do this run agaiin, not with two other good races the same weekend.
