degreg - One morning when I woke up and was *GASP* out of coffee, I ran to the grocery store with my water bottle and belt. Bought 1/2 lb of beans, poured them in my water bottle, and finished my 5.
Runnergrrrl (did I get the Rs right?) - Nice 10 miler! If you can do 10 in training, you can do 13.1 on race day. So now, every mile you log will only make your half that much more enjoyable.
melodylea - It's been chilly here, but dry. I wish it would snow
Debm - In many trail races, failure to offer or render aid can be grounds for a DQ. You can always decline aid that's offered.
NHLA - "easy" run, huh?
Francessmom - Thumbs up to running w/out a watch.
Got out about 7:30 this morning, 30 degrees, clouds, running pants weather. Just an easy 5k, 30:34, then shower and church.
I went to a restaurant I'd heard raves about, and it was packed, so I sat at the counter and was not at all impressed with the pancakes (bland), the scrambled eggs (over processed) or the bacon (reheated in the fryer).
I needed a pair of jeans, so I went to the www (world's worst walmart). They did have 1 pair in my size. Now get this: It's allegedly the same size I wore when I was a senior in high school. I'm wearing a boys' size 18 regular. Now, I'm 20 lbs heavier now than I was then (and I was real skinny back then!), so I know that sizes have changed radically. Still, boys sizes are 5 bucks cheaper than mens, so score!
