Hi,
My 13 year old daughter needs a pitching coach to work with her once a week. Any recommendations or referrals are much appreciated.
Thanks,

You did say a pitching coach, Planet Fastpitch gets lots of eye rolls outside in the softball world. (Self Promoting and quite pricey) In the beginning, search your local colleges, extra innings, sports complexes, etc..
In the end if you choose Planet fast Pitch, good for PFP $$ and Gulf Oil (Uxbridge Ma.). They won't hurt your progress. Remember, work, work, work, and good coaching at reasonably priced lessons produce identical results. Core fitness, education and motivation.
Don't fall for the "my facility has produced d1 this and d1 that". A great education and a happy kid is the ticket.
If you are close to Southern Maine we could help. Here is our web site for Maine Hits. www.mainehits.com
We have several instructors for private lessons and clinics. You can check out the web site for instructor information.
We have a two special instructors coming to visit in January. Katie Burkhart and Bill Hillhouse. There are links below if interested.

Hello! You should try Fastpitch Performance in West Warwick! They give your daughter individualized instruction at an affordable rate. They get good results and provide your daughter with the knowledge and confidence to become a good pitcher!!!!
Where do you and your daughter live? Lots of great places to train out there but geography should be taken into consideration. You don't want to spend more time in the car than receiving instruction.
If your daughter lives in Metrowest check out: http://www.eteamz.com/mwbuzz/
HI
I would suggest to evaluate the pitching coach and does your daughter relate to the coach. All replies will tell you about the good and bad of pitching instructors. The question will be the time you and your daughter put in beisde the time with the instructor. If you choose only to practice with an instructor and not on your own, save your money improvement will be minamil. My suggestion would be try a couple and see what works for you. Remember the instruction you receive is what you pay for. Most of the softball world has an opinon on one facility compared to another. Find the one that works for you. I do know my duaghter has gone to one mentioned above and is having great success. Do your research? Good Luck and for us PFP has worked.
