    Hi

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

I did another 4 mile yesterday and managed to shave a bit off my time.  Did this one in 35:30.  I plan to run again tomorrow, possibly in the morning, but the opportunity of an extra hour in bed may be too tempting!

    That's all for now.

    Bye

Hope everyone is managing OK in the inclement weather. Take care of yourselves, everyone, especially those who are injured!

I'm back on the training program. I'm mixing it up between a 10K training program and a 1/2 marathon training. I ran an easy paced 2.5 miles on Sunday, and though I felt slow, I was running at the same pace my 'fast" treadmill runs were last year (only 3.5 mph, but who's counting?). My faster runs have been at 4.1 or 4.2 mph, so that in itself is a huge improvement over last year.

I am officially signed up for the Marine Corps Marathon as a fundraiser for my dad. 9 months to train -- so I just need to stay injury free and slooooooowly make it to 20 miles or whatever my final long run is. It will be an interesting journey.

In the meantime, it's me, my treadmill and Netflix. haven't braved running outside yet, though I think most of our snow and ice is gone. for now.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good luck J9 on the marathon / fundraiser - I don't think I can even think of a marathon as a goal yet.

I finished W3D2 on Monday and will be running W3D3 tonight.  My legs were tight durning my run Monday but they felt great afterwards and I'm looking fwd to the run tonight.  I ended up going 2.25 miles in 30 minutes (9 minutes of running/ rest was walking per the intervals) - Feels like I should be writing on a sho-nuff newbie forum instead to all the graduates on here but I'll be caught back up in a couple of weeks hopefully....

    Stay warm - happy running..

    HEY!

I am still here.  Still running, or run/walking i should say.  I had an ankle injury in January that took me out of running for over 3 months.  During that time I started riding bike and swimming. '

Now I am in training for a 1/2 marathon through Team in Training, so I am fundraising and training.  I will doing the Nike women's marthon, 1/2 distance in San Francisco in  Oct.  I am also cross training by spin classes and swimming.

Keeping busy and still loging miles.

    Hope everyone is well!

Wow! Haven’t talked to anyone in forever. Hope things have been going well for y’all!

I was still running, off and on as my shin splints would allow, up until this summer. Unfortunately, I can no longer run in the mornings—my legs have to be completely warmed up over the course of the day, and then stretched 30 mins before my run, for my shins not to stage a protest—and it’s been too hot to run in the evenings since early June (been taking the kiddo with me, and not comfortable making him run in 100 degree heat).

But as soon as it cools down (mid-September, if we're lucky), I’ll be off and running again, literally! I’d really like to try to train for the OKC memorial marathon in April (the half one, not the full), but I haven’t tried anything past 5K yet, so that may be a pipe dream. But we’ll see!

Good to see some of you are still around and trucking on! Congrats to everyone who is, and encouragment to those who need it!

Talk about a long time.  Found the link and had to come back to see how folks were doing.  Sorry to see nobody posted in a year.  Hope everybody is well.  Just a quick update...I now run 20-25 miles a week.  I've now run 4 10 mile races, 7 HMs and a 30K race.  I had to back off on the running this past summer due to injury so I took up swimming and biking.  This past fall I did my first Sprint Triathlon.  You always find me on SparkPeople (DrEbenezer) or Facebook (Frank Stephen).  Thanks to all of you who kept me going three years ago!!
