Re: Running Moms and Dads, Tuesday
Howdy! I overslept and missed going to the gym this AM..good thing because DS 4yrs walked into my room whimpering I sat straight up from being in a deep sleep and threw him into the bathroom and quickly discovered that the stomach bug has arrived. He always walks in whimpering in the morning- I have no idea what made me jump, but it was a good thing. Gotta love the mommny instict. So I guess I'll go to the gym late tonight after DH gets home from a work dinner.

You men are really, really, really fast! WOW!

Usually when you are awake. I work nights. By the way, I replied to your question on yesterday's thread. Nice to meet you, Heather.

Tri - Nice work out this morning. How far are you running lately?
<HR>

HI Andi - My long is around 7 miles. I should be up to 10 by October. Taking it slow. Tomorrow I do 4.5 and Friday I do 6.5. While I am at work, I usually stick around 3 to 4 miles. Don't want to take too much time away from the office.

Hi Shell - You crazy chick.

Shell - I saw your comment on yesterday's thread about the first time putting the face to the name. That picture was after two weeks of us on a family camping and fishing trip. We were all at our worse that day, let me tell ya.

Okay, i have to find a way to entertain the rug rat without expending any more energy from me. I am thinking coloring instead of talking to all of you on this forum. No offense intended. This is just a desperate man, up to his neck in girly girl talk, talk, talk. LOL

Re: Running Moms and Dads, Tuesday
just got done my dualathon---I biked for 30minutes and than ran for 40 minutes--what a tranistion for the legs going from biking to running! It felt nice--wish I were faster in the TM--but oh well--and wish all the exercise counter acted the whole cake I ate today! oh well!

Re: Running Moms and Dads, Tuesday
Abb, don't worry about it. I did a bike leg in a duathlon several years ago. It was before I got my road bike and I was not in terrific shape. I think I averaged about 16.5 over 10 or 12 miles on a windy course. Very lame, but it was fun as ****. Enjoy it!

Someunkownguy - Please be advised that new guys are not allowed to be faster than vets of the forum. I nominate your nickname to be Lightnin'

Batmom - it is so funny to imagine you skulking around town in a minivan looking for bandwidth to leech off.

MP- we used to be your peeps, remember?

People, hill repeats suck. Never done them before so this was kind of a test run. Did 10X about 1/10 of mile with about a 45 foot elevation gain. Ran up prob around somewhere between 5K and 10K pace. No watch or HRM so no details. Ran down about 1/2 speed for recovery with 1/2 Mi. warmup, cooldown. Short workout but definitely taxing.
