I thought this event sucked, in fact, it never even took place.  I received several very bizarre emails from the race director.  Eventually one email 2 weeks before the event said it had been cancelled due to problems with the city of Imperial Beach, and them requiring there course to be rerouted due to construction in the area.  Full refunds were promised.  I never received mine ($40), they never answered my email inquiries or answered their phone.  Now their website states the following:  "The USA Women's Half Marathon website is currently being updated. The USA Women's Half Marathon has no events scheduled at the current time. Thank You".  I'm pretty sure I have been scammed.  I will never again sign up for an event like this through Active.com or any other website!
