My name is Brad Ennis. My daughter Whitney is a Junior at Bloomington South High School. She was the varsity starting catcher as a sophomore and batted .430 on the season. She played for Team Indiana 16U Gold Benefiel in the Fall of 2011 and the summer of 2012. She was the #1 catcher on a very successful team ( runner-up at the prestigious Columbus StingRay tourney where she caught four games - all back to back - on Sunday in 100+ heat. She batted around .350 for the weekend and was 2-3 in the championship game ). After competing at Nationals in Alabama and much thought, she decided to take a break from travel competition this past Fall for a number of reasons : to let a nagging shoulder injury heal, to give her personal trainer more intense focus on strength training since she wasn't competing, and to allow her more time for college visits/camps and an SAT/ACT class that met every Sunday.
Whitney is now ready to find a top notch program as she wants to compete in some winter tournaments as well as hitting the trail hard next summer.
