Mercer Chiefs looking for Certified Coaches

Compensation: Coaching is a part-time position and all coaches will be paid a fixed fee per season as independent contractors plus reimbursement for travel expenses for overnight travel to tournaments. Head coaching fees range from $5500 to $10,000 per season based on experience with assistant coaches earning up to $2500 per season.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tryouts and select players for your teams
• Instruct players on technique, rules, sportsmanship, team play, and proper conduct
• Supervise ice practices and off-ice conditioning sessions 
• Instruct, supervise and direct players during all games
• Attend ALL practices and games
• Select, supervise and evaluate the players, assistant coaches, volunteers, student coaches, managers or others assisting in the conduct of your team.
• Follow all of the rules and regulations from the league  
• Demonstrate fair play and sportsmanship on and off the ice that represents the Mercer chiefs in a positive way
• Perform as a positive role model to your players as a representative of the Mercer Chiefs and the Ice Land organization.
