Marathon Monday - My Ode to the 5k

Hey everyone!  My husband is running the Boston Marathon today, and it makes me think a lot about how much I love him, how crazy awesome he is, and how fantastic distance runners are.

HOWEVER, I completed the C25K program last September, and am new to running, and I know that on marathon days there are non-runners and new to running runners who can sometimes think... yikes, I will never run that long, that fast, etc... so why am I bothering?

And in that light, I would like to present my Ode to the 5k, in the form of t-shirt slogans... because the 5k is also AWESOME

3.1 - Long Enough to Feel Good, Often Enough to Look Good

3.1 - Why Give Up Your Saturday Mornings?

3.1 - I'm Efficient.

3.1 - If It's Not A "Challenge", Run Faster

3.1 - Not Everyone's Crazy

3.1 - Run Fun

3.1 - You Could Be Doing This Eight Weeks From Now

Happy Running, whatever your distance!

Such a tragedy Kelly and so glad to hear that you all are fine.  Three of my friends were also running Boston today and they are okay, but of course, in a state of shock regarding the senseless attack.  My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved.

Kelly, you have got a great attitude.  Best response to bullies - on whatever scale - stay positive and determined.
