Dr. Oz Proves the Green Coffee Bean Extract Works with a Study of his Own
In order to ensure that the green coffee bean extract really performs as advertised, Dr. Oz enlisted the help of his show’s Medical Unit and conducted an experiment under the guidance of Dr. Caroline Apovian and registered dietician Kristin Kirkpatrick. To date, the green coffee bean extract project is the largest project Dr. Oz’s show has ever done.
The show took 100 women who fell between the following criteria: • Between the ages of 35 and 49 • Were overweight with BMIs between 25 and 45 • Had no major medical problems (e.g. diabetes, history of heart attack / stroke, etc.) • Weren’t pregnant or breastfeeding
These women were then given either a placebo or a green coffee bean supplement (they didn’t know which they were given i.e. double-blind study) and told not to change their diet or exercise habits. The pills were taken in 400mg capsules, three times a day – 30 minutes before each meal. After two weeks, the results were quite clear: green coffee bean extract helps you lose weight with no side effects and no changes to your diet or activity.
