I ran two miles today. It wasn't difficult so I didn't think too much of it. I had three egg whites and a side of fruit for breakfast and some unsalted nuts for a little snack before my run. I had a half a cup of decaf and about 12 ounces of water before my run. I had about 16 oz after my run. About a half hour to 45 min after my run I got aggitated, shaky, cold, and sick to my stomach. I drank a bit of lemonaide thinking it was blood sugar related. Forced down my lunch and more water. 6 hours later I still feel like %$#& but, slightly better. What did I do wrong and how can I fix it and not repeat it. THANK YOU!!! I'm upset that running tomorrow isn't a good idea now
Do you run early in the morning? try having just a banana before your run and see if slowing down your pace helps a bit. My boot camp trainer says that a glass of chocolate milk is good post workout. I would probably just for a walk tomorrow and then run on Thursday.

Thank you. I ran at 10:45 and had eaten at 8:30 ish. I am mostly vegetarian/vegan but, I will try some almond milk with chocolate. Sounds good. I will slow the pace. I think I did run too hard for the heat. Thank you!!
Keep in mind also that you are, literally, a newbie. What you did 7 years ago is irrelevant in running terms. Your mind may have memories of running an easy two miles but your body hasn't the vaguest idea. It's going to take several months for your body to re-acquaint itself with running. Fluffy's idea of running every other day, and slowing down, are both good. Have fun and enjoy the journey.
Thank you. BINGO You are correct!! I went to urgent care. It was heat exaustion from over exertion. Too little water, too much sun, and too outta shape haha. I was also told the banana was a better choice than egg whites for potassium. So I good two good answers on this site. Thanks guys!!!
