Softball Communities -- A 15-year-old Dayton, Iowa girl, Kathlynn Shephard, has been missing since Monday afternoon. She and a 12-year-old girl were kidnapped after they got off the bus from school and were walking home. Fortunately, the 12-year-old got away, but Kathlynn did not. Volunteers and law enforcement are still searching for Kathlynn. The head softball coach for Southeast-Webster-Grand in Iowa announced that her softball team will be wearing Kathlynn's favorite color, purple, at their game tonight, to show solidarity in hopes that Kathlynn will be found safe and sound. They'll be wearing purple hair ribbons, purple shoe laces, purple sweat bands, arm bands.........whatever they can find. Several of the softball teams in the surrounding communities to Dayton are also following suit by wearing purple this weekend. Can we show Iowa some Texas support by considering wearing something purple if your softball team is playing this weekend? Thanks for taking the time to read this and consider showing your support in bringing Kathlynn home safely. If your team decides to wear something purple, and you would like to share pics of your teams wearing purple, you can send them to firstname.lastname@example.org. They will be shared with Dayton, Iowa community.
