Re: Running Moms and Dads, Tuesday
Morning all...

I did not get up and watch the eclipse - my DH got up and ran but I think it was over before he was up at 5a. At least he didn't mention it.

I figured out why my run yesterday was a mental and physical struggle - my friend came to visit directly thereafter. YUK! At least I have a better attitude about future running though.

I also figured out why my run was so hard on Saturday too, one of my splits was at 8:32 kind of fast for an LSD - no wonder I tanked and couldn't get past 6.3.

No running today since my DH and I are running a local 8k tomorrow eve. Hopefully it won't be too hot or smokey. It has been clear for the past several days and it is so gorgeous.

Anyway, not much to report - have a great day - congrats to all of you disciplined runners today!

Hello All!

Re: Running Moms and Dads, Tuesday
Shell - I have to say that I really love the speedwork. I definately need to stretch more after doing it and sometimes my legs are a little sore the next day. But, it really energizes me and I always feel strong after doing it!

ETA - of course now I am starving today - I don't know why that happens!

Meh, I missed the eclipse too. And the moon was so pretty last night you could tell it was coming.

Sorry Spacey, I went to bed early last night.

I will run today, Pftiz says its a strider day too.

Now, I gotta go find Vicious. She's here somewhere.

Re: Running Moms and Dads, Tuesday
I am wicked hungry today too!

Yes, we are taking the kids out of school for 1 1/2 weeks to go to disney. I know we probably shouldn't, but I know the elementary school is pretty good about allowing it. Also, my kids never miss school. In the 4 years I have had kids at that school they have missed a combined 4 days!

Are you gearing up for the school year? Hockey starts this weekend so it will be crazy in our house for the next 9 months!

Re: Running Moms and Dads, Tuesday
RRRRRRRRRRR...I"m in between classes...had a post ready to go...then I lost it...WTF???

I"ll try again...

Tammy...Aunts suck the life out of you...good luck on the 8k

Andi...I think I need to eat more for speed work...I just don't feel like I have enough resources to keep it up like it should be

Marianne...have a good run

Hey Ron...did you get my mail? Nod once for yes, two for no

Heather...I wish there were places to take a nap at around here...why does school wear me out so fast...and do I get to count all the walking I do around here in my mileage

Next class isn't until 3:55

OH update on the job thing...I went ahead and asked for a release of my church membership (since it was clarified to me that my job does not depend on that) So I feel good about this...I can maybe find a church that I like. DH says come january when they drop my benefits to just quit since that was my main reason for working...how we'll proceed from there...don't know...it would be nice to devote more time to school to get this **** done!

Question...I hope you all don't think this is dumb, but may I ask why you need to be released from your church? I have never gone to church on a regular basis so I am ignorant to this. It seems like if you decide that one isn't for you, you are free to leave and find a new one without permission. No?
