Re: Is anyone else at Week 3 of C25K right now?
Last week I jumped into W4 since I've been running some and didn't think I needed to start at the beginning. I thought I'd do all 3 days of Week 4 this week at the gym (as you know, it's the same all 3 days). I decided to keep moving so today was W4D2. On Friday I could tell it was a different run than I had been doing and I'm enjoying it. I had a long conference call at work this morning and stiffened up so I need to make sure I keep moving afterwards.

Katie, congrats on the smaller dress size. I hope it's far enough ahead that your new dress gets there in time. My daughter is getting married in April and I know some dresses take a while to come in.

I just joined this post, but I'll follow along. It's good to have the experiences of others at the same point in the C25K program.

I love the idea of keeping this group together with the 5K end timing in mind! Halloween's a good theme - Columbus day seems a little too aggressive a goal for me, and Veterans Day may be too far out (although I've seen some 5K "Veterun" postings for the first weekend in Nov).

I LOVE the tomato idea for a costume - I turn bright red too! Or, I could go as Darth Vader, since I have the sound effects down. I did hear a funny reference in one of the forums to looking and sounding like an off-balance washing machine, so there's another possibility! Let's just be sure no one winds up as a PATIENT!

Hi All,

My daughter laughed at me this morning because my pants were so baggy! The scale shows that I lost 6 pounds but the most noticable thing is that my legs are getting much firmer.

I have decided to try and do a Firm tape on my off days so I can hit the upper body. I think I have been tensing when I run because my shoulders and neck feel stiff. Firm legs and flabby arms will not do!

Katie, I am fine with Loggers or whatever you want. Since you started this whole thing you make the decision on a new thread. I will follow!

DipMom, I did a Firm tape on Sat.--one of the longer, total body ones--and could barely move the rest of the weekend! It clearly hit some muscles in my legs & butt that running doesn't. It felt good. Tomato costume--too funny!

Katie, that is awesome about your wedding dress! Congrats! How soon is your wedding? I like the Logger or Mile Logger ideas, too.

I did W5D1 this morning. Stopped briefly during the final run, but all in all, it went better than I expected. Yesterday was my DH's birthday, so we went out to eat and overindulged a bit. Then our power went out for 2 hours during the night, and one of our dogs decided she needed to bark the entire time, so I didn't get much sleep. I don't know about those 8 minute segments on D2. One day at a time.... GL everyone!
