DAVE SNYDER--Head Coach
As Assistant Varsity Coach at New Trier High School for the past eight years, Dave helped the program finish 4th at the IHSA State Tournament in 2006, 2008, 2011 and make the “Elite 8” in 2010. Last summer, his 16U Trevians travel team finished 5th out of 51 teams at the USSSA World Series in Kansas City and was honored with the Tournament Sportsmanship Award presented to only one team by the tournament umpires and organizers. Dave has coached competitive summer travel teams from 10U through 18U and is currently the head 14U Trevians Coach.
"I believe in creating an environment of trust and encouragement where young people are inspired to test the limits of their capabilities with minimal anxiety,” Dave says. “A critical element of our success is learning how to deal with the inherent failure that's built into the game. I teach my students how to have a positive approach, give maximum effort always, and seek only to control the controllable. Wins and losses will take care of themselves. We enjoy the opportunity to display a great effort on a regular basis!"
CHRISTINE CHRISTOPOLOUS--Assistant Coach
Christine graduated from New Trier High School. She led New Trier to a fourth place finish in the Class AA State Tournament. Christine was named to The Sun Times “Top 100 All-Area Players.” After her senior year, Christine won Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year, as well as, Most Valuable Player at New Trier. Christine went on to attend University of Illinois. There, she set and holds the saves record. She also was nominated for The illinois Female Spirit Award given to the athlete whom the Athletic Director believes has shown the most heart and passion both on and off the field. Christine was also selected to the Senior 100 Honorary, given to the top 100 seniors at U of I for outstanding accomplishments in leadership, academics, and campus involvement throughout their undergraduate career.
BRITTANY SANCHEZ--Assistant Coach
Brittany graduated from Niles North High School where she was a four-year varstiy starter and High School Honor Roll student.
