Running Moms & Dads: Labor Day Edition

KR is hacked again so thought I'd start a thread here just in case we want to chat today

Was out early this morning and got 8.3 miles done before DH starts call. Good run but left leg got a little testy so I'm icing.

Have a GREAT Labor Day my wonderful running amigos!

Good morning, Kathy! Nice run today.

Good morning, Karla! Nice run-feels good to push it once in a while. Have fun shopping.
I've got 4 scheduled for today. Just chilling right now. I did 19 yesterday. I wanted to catch up with the thread yesterday, but thanks to the hacker geeks I guess I can't.

Good Morning all! I had started a thread at KR early this morning, but I see now that it's hacked again!! I don't understand why they can't do something about that...oh well.
Ran a nice easy six early this morning. No big plans the rest of the day, just studying and doing homework.

KittyKat- way to go on the 8.3, I hope your leg is ok

karla- great job on the fast run! Have fun shopping!

Re: Running Moms & Dads: Labor Day Edition
Good morning, Heather! Nice job on the early morning 6. Enjoy your book work today (if you can).
No work for me today!!!!!!!!!
I do have to close the pool, though. Hardly got used all summer. This may be the last year it is open. I've been thinking of taking it down and putting in a patio with a fireplace. We'll see what happens in the spring.

Re: Running Moms & Dads: Labor Day Edition
I posted this on KR, but I will post it here too:

Ty just left. We had a great morning. Ty is the sweetest person. My girls just LOVE her! I do too. We were fighting for time with her...lol! My girls won...she played checkers with them. The girls asked if Ty was coming back tomorrow. I wish!!!!

So here's our RR. She showed up on my front doorstep wearing a white top and a black running skirt. I opened the door wearing a white top and a black running skirt. It was too funny. I was drooling over Ty's Garmin. (I can't wait to get mine.) We ran around the neighborhood and trails. And she was telling ME where to go...lol. I ran in places I've never gone...lol. We went about 4.35 - 4.75 miles? Her hip started bothering her around 4.35 miles, so we stopped immediately and walked the rest of the way home. Then afterwards, we chatted and had breakfast. The girls HAD to show Ty their rooms, games, Webkinz, and computer. They gave her the tour.

Re: Running Moms & Dads: Labor Day Edition
Hi, Kathy! The 19 went pretty good for the first 1/2, but the 2nd half seemd to be a bit of a struggle. I finished in 2:49:55.
The patio is starting to look like it might be a good option. As the kids get older, they always want to be somewhere else. I think your right, it's about what DW and I want now.
