Marathon in 3 weeks

I am running the Colorado Marathon on May 6th. I am doing The Horsetooth Half this weekend, supossed to be very hilly.

So...I havent really been following a specific marathon plan as I have been tri training, But I have been keeping my mileage up. I did a 30K run the last week of Feb. I did a 20 miler March 25th and a 19 miler last weekend on Easter.

My question is; should I do another 18-20 miler next weekend, and then a 8-10 mile the weekend before the Marathon?
Or should I "taper" sooner? I have been pretty steady at 35-40 MPW for a year or so.

Re: Marathon in 3 weeks
I suggest doing it THIS weekend (more on that in a sec.). Do 16 next weekend. Then 8-10 the weekend before.

This weekend, warm up a solid mile or two before the half (go at easy pace); time it so that when you're done you go right over to the starting line. If you're racing the half hard, you'll want a warm up anyway. Then after you run the Horse's half, if you have anything left (or make a point to have something left) log a few more miles. Done. And you get the proper taper. Best of all worlds.
