This calorie intake calculator http://www.active.com/fitness/calculators/calories says I need 268 calories per day to maintain my current weight (150 pounds). Consuming 268 calories a day doesn't sound like very much. Shouldn't my calorie intake be higher?

I answered my own question. The Calculators I used don't work correctly.

The ideal weight for a person your height (5 feet 8 inches) would be between 12 and 15 pounds.
No one should eat less thn 1200 calories a day period. Anything less on an ongoing basis puts you health in jeopardy as your organs and this includes your brain will not meet their energy requirements. Starving just wastes lean body mass and slows metabolism.
