Asics Gel Landreth

Hey all,

I've been wearing the Asics Gel Landreth for a few years now (3?) and, having utterly worn out my current pair, just discovered that they have been discontinued.  Does anyone know if Asics replaced them with a new, similar shoe?  If not, any recommendations on comparable shoes?

    Asics Gel Landreth

I don't believe there is a direct replacement, however, if I remember correctly, the Gel Landreth was a "Neutral" class of shoe; Asics now makes the following "Neutral" shoes:

    • Gel-Cumulus 15
    • Gel-Excel33 2
    • Gel-Scout (I wear these; they're more of a trail shoe than a road shoe)
    • Gel-Venture 4
    • Gel-Contend
    • Gel-Equation 6
    • Gel-Excite
    • Gel-Scram 2
    • Gel-Reprisal

    Fat old man PRs:

    • 1-mile (point to point, gravity assist): 5:50
    • 2-mile: 13:49
    • 5K (gravity assist last mile): 21:31
    • 5-Mile: 37:24
    • 10K (first 10K of my Half Marathon): 48:16
    • 10-Mile (first 10 miles of my Half Marathon): 1:17:40
    • Half Marathon: 1:42:13
