Wow what a day! I loved every minute of it.. Ok may be just 2 minutes of it were a bit fustrating but here is my story...
Didn't get a lot of sleep the night before because I was sweating the swim part and didn't want to come in dead last. Well I am so happy to report that I didn't he he

We had to do 700 meters in a pool and I was in heat 1 with all the 20 minute swimmers which I thought was a good idea but.... I was swimming along and ran into an older man, so instead of getting his feet in my face I followed the rules and tapped him on his left foot, no response so I tapped 2-3 times on his foot on the next length, still nothing and I was swimming with my head up because I couldn't swim anymore properly cause he was too slow so the next time I grabbed his leg then he came up and let me pass so 4 lengths later, and I didn't know I could pass him away from the wall. They said you could not in the rules but people were any how. Ok I learned this now he he.. I was a tri virgin but not anymore he he..
I still got a new pr for the swim though. Instead of 20-21 minutes I did it in 18

happy girl.
The bike was so awesome! I passed everyone in heat one and got to transition first. There were some really good climbs which I love and some great down hills too, love it.20k @ 44 minutes for the ride.
Then onto my run.. No prob. I ran the 5k in 25 minutes and could have gone faster but massive hill caused me to slow down he he... I came in first girl in my heat in the end even if I was near the end to come out of the swim.
I came in 7th out of 16 teen in my age group too. Oh and it was a sun shinny day

"yea"
Now a few things I need to work on for the next one.. yes there has to be another one! I am hooked! I need to work on the swim and the transition time, I am too slow there. I will learn the tricks.
What a great intro to the tri world and I am now a tri gal... "yea"
Hubby will do his own report but I also want to say he was awesome too.
