Hey guys I'm currently training to run 1500m and 800m. Could I know what is a good time for these distance? I've searched on the internet and they said for 1500m it is good if it is less than 5 minutes. However, I timed my jogging pace yesterday and I could only do about 0.50sec/100m. Should I increase my pace more? The competition I wanted to enter is at college level but I'm not sure if I could even compete in my state now
The U.S. high school record I found for the 1500 was 3:38. The world record appears to be about 3:26. There is a lot more to this than timing your jogging pace (50 sec per 100m??) The best recommendation I can make is to find a coach.
