I am training for the NYC Marathon in November. I am a fairly new runner (the last two years) and I have been trying to lose weight in the process. I have a flat foot and after a long run (over 4 miles) I have terrible pain on my inner foot (arch). Does anybody recommend any stretching or suggestions for this pain?
Are you talking about pain on the bottom of your foot? Does it hurt at other times, or only after you've run several miles? It could be any number of things. You might be better off posting in The Med Tent, since this is not specific to marathon training.
