This is my first post. I have been picking up running again and have decided to train for a 5k. I'd like to follow a defined program but am having a hard time choosing the right one. I am 28, 5'10, 170lbs, in pretty decent shape. I lift weights regularly and eat well and have been putting in about 9 miles a week for the past couple weeks. I can pretty handily run 3 miles in under 30 minutes so I think I'm a bit advanced for Couch to 5K. I've been looking into the cool running beginner program but am wondering if the mileage will catch up to me since I've not been running consistently in the past few months. Any advice? Also, what do you think is a realistic goal? I feel like if I pushed myself I could run it in about 25-26 minutes right now. Race is May 4th.
