Ok,
Wow I think I was black balled.for my poor report-No replies?

Woke up early to drive to Boulder with the wife and kids. we parked at my store (relaxnation.biz)

I ran about a mile to the starting line to warm up. I hadn't eaten anything yet, the thought of food was just disgusting.
There were a ton of people there it was really cool. as the waves went off I had moved the the very font of the BB Wave I was in. As we got up to the starting line, Several of us were standing just behind the rope and right in front of the timing mat. I heard a beep like my chip activated, then the announcer said of fews things and then "30 seconds to start" ****!
Everyone took off like crazy! Like it was a 100 yard race or something. I had to really "reel" it in or I would crash hard. I struggled trying to find a good pace, as I said this was my first 10K, I had no idea what I could pace. So I found something that was hard but doable. First mile split 6:44
I heard lots of bands, I glanced around at all the people in the street, but I really just kinda looked forward and ran hard. I didn't take in many sights on the way. I really pushed hard. The course was a little hilly, but not too bad. I tried to get some water without stopping or slowing down, I might have got a taste but that was it. SPLASH!
I tried again at the next stop...same result. No water. Just wet. I just ran through the last station. I was getting a little lactic build up, and was struggling a bit, but I was OK.Still running fast and light. (for me)
After 6 about miles we rounded the corner I could see he road went uphill and in the stadium to finish. It was a great feeling to get inside the stadium and know I was done. I sprinted FAST to the finish (passed a bunch of runners

). There weren't a lot of folks there inside, I was kinda surprised. I found my family easily, and we sat and waited for my sister in law to finish.
The cool thing is , I never really experienced just watching others finish a race. I am usually in the back of the pack, and it was nice to just "take it in" My sister finished at 1;12:00 and by now the place was rocking!
I really enjoyed the race. I am sure I will do it next year.
They have had some technical difficulties so still no official results. My time on the GPS was 46:30 -6.3 miles. That should be a fraction slow, because I was standing in the feeder after the finish line when I shut of the watch. I hope my time doesn't reflect the "extra" time if my chip started to soon.
I MUCH prefer the marathon over the shorter races, even though it seems I run the shorter one better for now.
My first Tri is June 17th, I hope I don't drown

Better?
