ladies - swimsuit help for training

I have always had issues finding a swimsuit that offers any support. I'm larger chested (36DD) and a size 16. Right now, I'm in a Speedo that has the soft cups and shelf bra for "maximum support" but I have yet to see a difference.

Help!

For the tri, it's no problem since I can just wear my sports bra underneath and look ridiculous, but I'd prefer to look somewhat normal when training

Anyone else that has this problem....or better yet, has found a solution?

I am in the same sorta boat. I use one good sports bra and found a shirt called 'water girl' that is great for swimming, biking and running.

I think you should just wear the sports bra underneath and to h*ll with anyone who looks twice at you. Do what you need to do to be comfortable and to get the support you need. Walk to the pool like you own the place.

When I am doing just swimming, I wear a regular suite, when I am swimming/biking ? I wear my trisuite (not worry about my chest), swimming/running ? I wear my trisuite with a sports bra under, I know the back is sort of see through, but :P on them!

I am only a 36C, but I have support needs too. My current suit is the one below and it has a lot of support, also the front of the top is pretty high, so no drag. I ride my bike to the pool and on my way there I just wear the suit under my cycle shirt, no bra needed.

I don't have this problem (actually, the opposite...) but I agree, do what you need to do to feel comfortable and the **** with what people think!

Maybe it's just where I swim, but it's not uncommon to see a sports bra under someone's suit. Truly no big deal. Wear in comfort and enjoy your swim.

That Quantum Splice is a great suit, but the catch with them is that the sizes top out at 40, which I believe equates to a 13/14.

So until I get down to that size, I'm using a Speedo Ultraback Moderate, which isn't as stylin' as the Quantum, but it gets the job done. The slightly lower cut legs also work well in a size 16. It has a built-in shelf bra and a reasonably high neckline to help keep things in place. I usually get them form Swim Outlet, but I don't see size 16 in stock right now. A google search might help you find one, though.

And go with the sports bra if that's what works. You're there to work out and that's all that really matters!
