LRRepeat- Yeah, DH had the jogger stroller loaded down with all kinds of stuff (I have a 19 month old DS and twin 6 year old DDs). Hey, I picked out the clothes for the kids and packed the diaper bag and water, etc... for him. Plus, I was up at 5:00, and he got to sleep until 6:00. The least he can do is take my stuff for me.
I had to have the cell phone with me so he could call and find out where I was. It was nice passing all those people, but I will never elect to start late again! It is too darn hot here in Texas for that!
Carrie- You will do great too! I had so many worries, but the things I was worried about were not a big deal at all. If you have trained well, you will do fine. You will also have so much fun!
Neil- Yep, I'll be doing 3 more!
Hobey- Thanks! It was great meeting you too!
Olivia- I just stayed to the left. They told everyone to stay right unless they were passing. It was hard at times because someone would be passing, but they would be going way slower than me, so I'd have to hit the brakes or hit a cone!! I pretty much biked on the left the entire time. Some places it was wide and others it was narrow. I was yelling, “On your left!” a lot.
Thanks everyone!! I AM A TRATHLETE!!! WOO HOO! (or YEEHAW!!! as we say in Texas!! LOL) I can't wait to get to Maui. I will be relaxing, but hopefully I'll at least get a run in with DH. We will be hiking, snorkeling (does that count as swimming?), and kayaking, so it will be fun with some exercise thrown in. I'll it the training when I get back to prepare for my Oly in Sept. The other two sprints will just be for fun and practice.
