Kelli, way to finish your first triathlon in the front of the pack.  I am so impressed by anyone who finished FOP.  It's obvious that you worked hard to get ready for this and went out there and raced.  Congratulations.  I expect we'll be seeing more RRs from you in the future!

I forgot to ask -- what's a mixed age group? I've never heard of that. Are you two different ages so can't fit into one category?    If they count my actual age, and how I act, I wonder if I could make that work. Hmm.

Re: Austin Danskin 6/10/07 RR -- My first Tri

It is that kind of support that helps so much! On the bike the really fast guys were passing me, on the run just about everyone was passing me (I just could not find my lungs!) and as they were passing they were telling me I could do it, I was doing great… I met one women before the swim, she was starting right after me, it was her first race, as well. I crossed the finish line and waited until she came, I found my lungs!

Mobius:  Danskin does the mixed age group, it's so that you can race together in the same wave as friends/family that is in a different AG than you.

Re: Austin Danskin 6/10/07 RR -- My first Tri

Welcome, triathlete. Sounds like you had a blast. And thanks for mentioning Sally Edward's little mental exercise... I will use it for myself in two weeks time!

Very, very cute pictures of you and your girls. What an amazing role model you must be. I mean, think about it from their perspective... Spoken in a little kid voice: "That's my mommy... she's doing a triathlon... she's Making things Happen!" The other one chimes in with a smile: "Yeah, I wanna be just like my mommy when I grow up."

Rock on, TriPeppers!

Wow...you look awesome out there. First race and you already have a "flying" shot (i.e. one where you're running fast enough to catch both feet off the ground). Can't wait for the RR from your Oly this fall.

Congratulations Triathlete!!! Great report and pictures. What a fun read, because you had such fun, and you did so well! Very nice job staying focused and fast on your bike when all around you were having problems.
