top notch tri

Has any one done the top notch tri at cannon mt nh? It might be my firsts tri? Any course info would be helpfull and any tips would be great. Also what kind of mountain bikes do people race?

I have looked at it as it falls on one of my scarce days off during the summer. For me it is a bit too much to fit into one day, as it is a 3 hour drive to get there. The course if I remember is quite a hilly one. It finishes at the top of Cannon Mtn. if I am not mistaken. The whole set up looks really cool though. You have to MTN bike to the swim, then get out and climb up Cannon mtn. The actual elevation is only 3000' of climbing so it is not bad, I just do not have any skills on the mtn bike.

If you do go, good luck it looks like a good time, people will race on any mtn bike they can find I'm sure. I'm sure someone with Xterra experience could send you some tips.
