Re: Wednesday July 25
6 miles running home today. I love my Wednesday runs, not until about mile 4.5 or 5 though...one of these days I'll add a few more blocks to it.

Wednesday's are tough at work, so I hope I keep this up all year, even the nasty winter days

Wednesday's seem to be busy on the boards too. Looks like lots of good runs today.

I've decided I'm changing my perspective. I'm not "in training" right now...I may or may not run the marathon in September. I'm feeling like I'm forcing running right now, so the time has come for an attitude adjustment.

Also...anyone following the Tour de France saga?

Flobear - following TdF. Heartbroken. Hate it.

Contador is a very inspiring story. Let's hope his feet aren't made of clay as well.

Re: Wednesday July 25
flobear--I feel like the cyclists are killing a good thing. If this keeps up the tour might just disappear.

My run was at the track at 5 p.m. We have an overcast sky right now as thunderstorms are passing through. I ran 1 mile warmup in 8:30 and then 800 @ 3:00; 800 @ 3:08 and 800 @ 3:06. 1 mile cool down at 9:00 and a grand total of 4 miles today. It felt good and I hope my speed and endurance will pick up over the next 6 weeks.

Great running everyone. Have a great evening.

MERRIMACK RIVER TRAIL[/URL" target="_blank">

Plan tonight was 15 miles on the Merrimack River Trail. I took it really easy going out. I had planned to repeat the hilly section, and then go back to the start.

During mile 4 I fell. I felt okay when I got up, but things stiffened up as I went along, particularly the left knee.

At that point I decided to just do the out and then back, and then decide if I wanted to go back out ofr the final 5 miles.

On the way back I started feeling weak, tired and bit dizzy at one point. I decided to pack it in.

equinox - sorry to hear about the spill. Probably was the heat causing the dizzy feel.

Re: Wednesday July 25
6.7 total...just under 4 around town, 2 at the track and the rest coming home. Hoping to get my sorry butt out of bed earlier to beat the heat a bit.
