Sunday 2nd of Sept. '07

Well, my 9K..............

Ran at noon, so it was quite warm but I ran this distance in 46:33.
Had hoped to run it in 45 minutes, but 46 is not to bad.

So, for my 10K race next week i will be able to run without 55 minutes.

Will see.....

Enjoy your run.

Joost

Re: Sunday 2nd of Sept. '07
Good luck next week, Joost. Good preparation today.

Today is supposed to be long run day, 13 miles. I set the alarm for 4:15 and got up at 5:15. I was on the treadmill at 5:45. I had to go up and nurse the baby back to sleep at mile 2.7, and then at mile 8.05 she woke up for good because "By accident I woke up Sarah because I was holding her hand" said my son.

So somewhere today I'm going to have to find time to get that last five miles in. If I have to do it after bedtime, I will. I know it's not the same as doing the uninterrupted 13 miles, but uninterrupted my life ain't.

Take care out there.

Morning

joost - Good prep run there. One day I'll be able to convert K's to miles. Eh, probably not!

ellen - Your overall time for this 13 is going to be something

Slept like crazy again last night and am still a little tired. Gonna run a couple of very easy miles sometime probably when/if this coffee kicks in.

Good running everyone. Back later...

Oh har har, vash. You're a scream.

I got out for that five, pushing the baby. She got squirmy for the second half so I had to stop and pick her some flowers, and then book it home. My friend is here so she watched my son (my husband is still sleeping!).

13: accomplished. Since I got up at 5:15 and it is now 10:20, I'd say it's Miller Time.

Kidding ,kidding. Nothing but Sam for me.

Good ones, all.

My kinda girl...

Joost - way to be positive for next week.

Ellen - hey, you got a life, what're you gonna do?

Dan - again, I slept not so great. I think we must have
the same level of nervousness.

I don't know about today--I'm thinking a few miles, and I should
be good for tomorrow's 5K. This race is actually a bigger deal to me
than I thought--I'm so anxious about winning. I don't know if you
all read about this race the other day when I talked about it, but it's
an all girl race here in Omaha that is quite a big deal (also the
10th annual this year). If I win, it will mean more than the usual
5K does--for girls, that is. I know I can do it, so why am I so worried?

Good luck to everyone for their own races tomorrow.

Ellen--I don't know how you do it...

I did a bike/swim/bike brick this morning. It felt sooooo good to do an open water swim!!! Most likely, this will be my last OW swim...

bike 13m, 52:44, 14.7mph
swim ~1m, 29:22
bike 13m, 47:20, 16.4mph

I tried not to do this one too hard, but, I probably did. I know this isn't setting me up well for tomorrow's 5K. However, I think this workout was far more important training for my tri later this month.

Sounds like it's a bigger deal that you think. Do you get nervous before other races?

I slept pretty good just woke still a little tired. Today I'm doing nothing but resting. Especially now that I've absolutely given up on trying to get my website published. I've spent two days on this and still no luck.

Dan, what's the problem with your website? Do you need some help?

Tonya and Mom good luck on your 5ks. Dann...you'll get it, especially with Ellen, the super mom, helping.

Helping brother move into his appartment in Minneapolis and picking up the sister from the airport, also for school. Soon I'll be an only child again, but I'm kinda looking forward to it.

No running for me today. Since tomorrow is a holiday I get to run in the morning. The morning temperatures lately have been great. So I will be running 5 or 6 miles and hoping it will go great. Great running everyone and enjoy the day.

Re: Sunday 2nd of Sept. '07
Some great efforts out there today.

Joost - You will do great next weekend for your 10K. Run smart!

Ellen - Great job getting in 13. I don't know how you do it. I am definately inspired by your dedication. I think I would have called it quits at 8.5

Dan - Nice short easy run today. I hope you get some sleep tonight. Good luck with the web site thing. Out of my league.

Tonya - What dedication! Have a good easy run today. Don't push it to hard or go way to far. Good luck tomorrow on your 5K.

Mom - Once again you impress me with your workouts. Good luck on your 5K tomorrow. Hopefully your brick won't affect you to much tomorrow.

Alex - Have a great day with the family. Bonding is great with the siblings. Something I don't have with both of my Brothers anymore.

Today was an off day for me. I am scheduled for a double tomorrow. However, I doubt if I will get them both in since I am going to a Braves baseball game tomorrow. Considering making it one easy run. What is your thoughts?

Was schedule for 6M in AM and 4M in PM.

Thanks Ellen. I'm having trouble over what to enter for server and site path to publish the site on Startlogic web hosting. I used what they gave me but then when I tried to go to the site I got a message about changing the index.html to my own index.html file and haven't got a clue what they're talking about.

Also wondering if there's a wait period after publishing before I can actually get to it. Startlogic was a mistake to sign up with as they take forever to respond to questions. Of course I could wait on the phone forever to actually talk to someone.

Ok Tonya, I've officially started getting nervous!!!
