Looks like I get to do it

I'm pleased to escort you all to the rapture. This way to the last daily post on the current forums. Watch the overhead bins please.

Had time for three miles in 27:03 this morning. You won't be surprised if I tell you I'm running a bit behind, will you?

Take care, people, and see you on the flip side.

Morning

Ellen - Nice milestone postage.

Leg felt better yesterday. Today not so much. Hurts again.

Just for clarification it's kickrunners.com not kickrunner. Went there but didn't find a thread find a CR orphanage. What thread to post in; The Race?

Have a good one everybody. See you someplace tomorrow.

ah, I see, there's a run and race report thread. hey, I might be slow but at least I'm not dense.

3 - 2:18 Freestyle
4 - 3:07 Breast stroke
5 - 2:15 Freestyle

Re: Looks like I get to do it
Gonna do a tempo run on the treadmill after school, probably a mile, 3 miles at tempo, mile cooldown. I'll have to get my act together since I need to be back at the school by the 4:40 for the bus to our away game. If it's not too late, I'll get my report in tonight then, probably like 9 or so...I've gotta figure out my T pace still.

Re: Looks like I get to do it
Looks like a few people are at kickrunners today. I see ellen and megs over there on a thread in the temp. forum. No running for me today and I am not sure if I will do any cross training. Have a great morning. The kickrunners thread is in the postrace forum then the home-away from home.

Re: Looks like I get to do it
Morning all;

I got in 6.45 last night on the treadmill... 6 at 7:30mpm. It seemed torturously slow but perhaps I was listening to the wrong music while watching Monday night football...

Shooting for a few easy miles today, probably on the indoor track. Hopefully they'll be no other runners else I'm bound to run too fast...

Looks like I need to check out kickrunners... hopefully no-one stole my user name...

RunAsics - Ha Ha - I have the same issue - "Don't Lap me, I'll lap you!"

I'm getting getter on the TM - but its still hard when someone next to you is going faster on your recovery day

Re: Looks like I get to do it
Asics and RFR--I ran on the indoor track once. Never again!!! There was one other jogger and I kept lapping the poor guy. Plus, it was 90' and 90% humidity.

Started the morning with a yoga class. New instructor and a bit more intense. I'll get the hang of it eventually.

Then to the fishbowl. Drills and speed work. 34:24. 1700 or so???

Then a quick shower and home long enough to pick up the bird and off to the vet. Norman is a 19yo cockatiel. He's gettign up in years and his beak is falling apart. I went to school with one of the vet techs and did an internship at the practice, so it was a nice visit. Once I got back to the van, I realized I still had swim cap and goggle marks...

Re: Looks like I get to do it
Hi everyone! Snow has arrived here...it's snowing hugetime
right now, and there was 3 inches of ice on the roads coming
into work this morning. I'll try to post a picture later, if I get
one taken...

Last night I made it to the gym to get a 66 minute
elliptical machine workout -- ended up with 12.76 miles
there.

My plan today is to do a little speedwork. I'll let you all
know what happens with that later...

Also, for those who are on kickrunners.com, my member
name is the same as above...

Happy Holidays!!!

But lapping people (as many times as possible) is the name of the game Sometimes I won't finish until I lap the runner ahead just one last time... it's good motivation to finish strong.

Just posted on kickrunners... still RunAsics...

Re: Looks like I get to do it
It just felt so wrong!!! Here's this guy decked out in all cotton and working his azz off to jog. Then there's me... I think I was only doing a 9:00pace but I was just flying by him. I don't mind doing it on the bike path. Fly by once, and be done with it. But to keep lapping him?! I felt bad!

Re: Looks like I get to do it
Hey ya'll,

Ellen & R4F- Nice runs
Dan- I'm sorry your leg is feeling worse, hope it gets better
David- Nice swimming I love swimming
Alex & Tonya - Have good runs later
Kfuller- Enjoy the rest or XT later
Asics- Don't run anyone into the ground too much, now!
4BM- I walk around sometimes for hours after a swim workout with goggle and cap marks, theyre oh so lovely

I don't have that lapping problem with running, I'm the one that always gets lapped . But in swimming, sometimes I feel bad when someone gets in my lane and I'm doing like a 500 or something and they stop every 50-100 and I just keep going and lapping them while they're swimming too. I don't like that

Today I'll get 2 miles in at some point...I have 2 more exams, but not until Thursday I'll be studying accounting today and going to the grocery store at some point because I have no food and then I'll run sometime also

Have a good day!

Re: Looks like I get to do it
Hey everyone,

Just getting my final -- for now -- post in here at the old venerable forum. I haven't gone to kickrunners yet, but it looks quiet at the office this afternoon, so I should have time to explore. I'm guessing "CMJHawk86" is not taken as a user ID and that the Hawk will continue to fly.

On a related topic -- shameless plug here -- my race report is up.

Still in recovery mode from the marathon. However, I am starting to feel almost normal today. Most of the soreness in my lower body is gone; only the right calf, the trouble spot during my race, still hurts but even that is dissipating. As for the rest of the week, it's a bit day-to-day based on how I'm recovering, but tonight I may actually try a very light 20 minutes on the home elliptical -- nothing hard, just a little motion to get things moving again. Then tomorrow I'm thinking of maybe 2-3 miles walking at lunchtime, followed by some more elliptical work on Thursday. Finally on Friday, if all goes well, it will be time for a recovery run of 2-3 miles.

As for Saturday, we'll have to see about this, but there is actually a 10k in our neighborhood. If my body's willing by that point I just might do it as a recovery run. Megs, are you doing it? Since I'm not racing it, I'd be willing to run it with you. Send me an email, let's discuss it if you're interested.

Dave - nice job on the swim. Nice change of pace isn't it?

RFF - nice run

Dan - hope the injury continues to heal and we see you out there again this week.

RunAsics - it's been a while since I've done that many miles on an indoor track. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. Keep lapping away.

Tonya - what kind of speed workout are you doing tonight?

kfuller - good luck w/ the XT later

Time for lunch...weird, this whole concept of actually eating at lunchtime rather than doing a workout. Oh well, it's only temporary.
