One of those weeks...

Well it's kind of been one of those weeks...Tuesday I fell flat on my face when i stepped in a hole... sprained my ankle 2 miles into my 10 mile run and was all bloody....I got ****** and finished my run...woke up the next morning and my ankle was swollen, black and blue, so I took the day off....thursday I was feeling better...went for another 10 miler....5 miles in to the run...rolled my ankle again....i'm kind of nervous to see what happens this sunday on my long run...oh well....stuff happens i guess...

Re: One of those weeks...
maybe you should ice it while you bbq and drink beers this weekend instead of running on it, just an idea.

oh, sorry to tempt you then bro. how much longer overseas?

my bud has 38 days left of his 18 months. Says he's put on like 20 lbs of muscle from lifting so much over there.

Be careful with that ankle. It will take a lot longer to heal if you keep running on it. I made that mistake once and was sidelined for a couple of months instead of a couple of weeks.

Re: One of those weeks...
I second what southern man wrote! I wish I could send you bbq and beer-you deserve it.
I've had one of those runs where I was sailing along nicely, suddenly twisted my ankle, and flipped head over heals a few times before skidding to a halt. I was more concerned over whether anyone saw me and was horse laughing than than I was over the blood running down my knees. I had to be very careful for about 6 months afterwards because it seemed that my ankle was really quick to twist after it happened that first time. Hope next week is better!!!
