Where did my energy go?

So, I ran a marathon on June 3rd, and have been trying to get back on track with running. Last week was the first full week of running after the marathon, and I felt great after Tuesday (great as in fully recovered). However, the last few runs this week have been awful--I feel like I have NO energy whatsoever! This is very frustrating for me! I usually run around 30 mpw as a base. This morning, I got up to run my usual 5 and could only manage 3!

Could I still be hurting from that marathon--It was 18 days ago..that seems like a long enough period to not be having this problem anymore...The other possibilities I've considered:

When I've been running in the morning lately, I eat breakfast afterwards, which means I go about 12 hours without eating anything...maybe I need to eat something (or at least drink some cals), before I run?

Maybe I'm anemic?
Maybe dehyrated?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!

I think just about everyone has a hard time getting started again after a marathon. You've had a big goal to motivate you for the last few months, and suddenly the goal is gone. The solution? Sign up for a fall marathon!

Also, has it gotten hot where you live? That will sap the life out of you till you get used to it.

Re: Where did my energy go?
I did my first marathon June 3rd also (San Diego RnR). I sort of felt the same way. It was like I was starting training all over again. I have heard this from some of the other folks I train with. My experience -

Week one- did not run, though wanted to by the end of the week.
Week two - ran twice. Just a few miles each time. Tried to do four miles and wound up stopping around 3 (it's been a loooong time since I DNF a run)
Week three- finally back in the swing. Did four miles today at a pretty good time/pace. I think I'm back.

While I do not have any residual soreness from the marathon, I do seem to have some slight aches and pains I did not have earlier. Occasional knee twinge, calf cramp, etc.
