Training in a Month (sort of)

I'm a 22 year old female, and in good shape. I started distance running last November, ran my first half marathon this Spring, and was running right up until May 15th. May 15th I flew to Beijing and will be here for 3 months. In Beijing I have had terrible breathing problems when running (never an issue in the states) due to the poor air quality and do not feel safe running here (due to the traffic etc).
I will return to U.S. (and running) Aug 10th. I have joined a Bally's here for 2 of the 3 months, have been weight training (light weights, more reps), running on the elliptical (though not for the distances I need to for the marathon training schedule), and walking for anywhere from an hour to three hours a day.
I am scheduled to run a marathon on Sept 29th and was wondering if this was still an attainable goal?
If so what should I do to train when I get back to the states?
Thanks!

Does the Bally's have treadmills? I've heard of people doing an entire marathon training cycle on a treadmill if they live in a place were running outdoors is difficult (always icy, oppressively hot, or people shooting in the streets). Not everyone likes treadmills, but maybe you're one of the ones who does. You could alternate between treadmill and elliptical, but I don't think it's a good idea to always do elliptical as it wouldn't help you get accustomed to the pounding you'll get in the marathon.

You don't have much time between getting back to the U.S. and the marathon you want to run. If you don't continue training while in Beijing, you may want to put the marathon off. I'm sure you can run/walk the marathon if time is not an issue, but you'll be hurting.

TMs are a good substitute. Keep your miles up.
