Has anyone ran the Air Force Marathon in Dayton, OH?

I am running the 1/2 on Sept 16 and was hoping to get some perspective on the hills since I am an out of town runner. Anyone have any insight? at the start is it a long gradual incline or an in your face hill?

welcome to town! I have a few friends who've run it. I understand the 1/2 isn't too bad. Can't be specific as I've not done it. But I can tell you from a native's standpoint that the hills here are not anything to fear! Have you checked with any of the Dayton area running stores? I'm sure they'd be happy to help answer some questions.
Wish I was runnin' it. Good luck to you!!

Hi! I read your USAF post! So, how'd you do? It sounds like you were pleased! I'll plan to do something there next year. I love running hills but haven't even come near a 1/2 marathon yet. How nice that the weather cooperated for you, it was a very pretty weekend here and not too hot this year.
Do you travel to do runs often? That would be so much fun. Someone in this forum is doing that for a big birthday coming up, what an inspiration! Glad you liked the event and like you mentioned, I've always heard about how well planned it is. Take care out there!
