Does USA need to be shamed some more by having Jones on the roster?

Do you HONESTLY believe that Marion Jones desrves to be on the World Cup Team? Do we REALLY have to continue to destroy the reputation of American individual sports by having Ms. "never have I ever used performance enhancing drusg" (you can all now begin laughing) on the team?

She is an embarassment to the rest of this fine roster. Check it out:

The amount of circumstantial evidence against Marion Jones is overwhelming. However, it's just that, circumstantial evidence. Until she actually fails a test (B sample included), we have to let her compete. If you went on rumors and circumstantial evidence alone, a whole bunch of the athletes on the World Cup teams would be off. If I was forced to place a bet, I would bet that Marion has used PED's and therefore she doesn't deserve a spot on the team. However, I don't know for sure if she has or hasn't, and until she is actually caught doing so, we have to let her run. I'll also agree that there are probably other countries who look down on us for doing so, but again, what grounds does USATF use to keep her off the team? Suspicion? Just won't cut it.

Here's the latest on Marion. Doesn't look like she'll be competing for the rest of the year:

The latest on Marion Jones is that Michael Johnson has "suggested" that she retire quietly and go away, in order to save US track any further embarassment. I think he's way too late on that one...

The simple fact is that US athletes are no longer respected on the world scene because of all the drug ****.

That's an incredibly naive assessment. There is "drug ****" in every country. Americans are no more or less respected then anyone else. Track and field is rife with PEDs, most countries are well represented.

She needs to find a new undetectable drug so she can compete again
