torque - I definitely feel for you. So sorry to hear this. Hoping that the PT is able to give you the 'go-ahead' soon and that the fall marathon is still a possibility.

Re: Alberta Runner's Forum II
15K on Saturday was great!! I finished in 1:29 - 10 minutes faster than I had anticipated (I'm a real turtle). Yay! I am amazed at myself; and amazed how easy the run was... Well, maybe not easy! But no where near as hard as I had built it up to be. I am just super

The best part is that my confidence has really skyrocketed (obviously. Heh). Now I know I can do the 1/2. I'm excited to see how well I can do. Bring it on!

Lucky you!

Goldens, how is hubby's training going. Any word on a bib # yet?

Are you coming out this way for a pre-race run/bike/swim?

That's cool Grizz! Actually, I had a coworker that listened to CBC and she won a contest once (something about the craziest 'fish story'!) Too funny...although, I think her prize was a fishing video....not quite as much fun as yours!

Willrun - just checked the IMC site...and still no bib numbers. His training has been going well...but of course, 'the' day will determine how he'll do. He just finished his longest training week, felt great, and was still wanting more...so that's a good thing. We won't be arriving in Penticton until the Friday morning before the race.

Re: Alberta Runner's Forum II
That's not dust, Grzzly, it's smoke!

What are your thoughts on running in this stuff? While the smoke doesn't seem as thick as yesterday, the scent of burning pine lingers. Is it OK to run?

I used it as an excuse to skip my morning run today (lame; I was just being LAZY). So if it is safe, please give me the a$$ whooping I deserve!

Hello, ....hello... hello.. hello (echo's if you didn't catch that)

So, what's new?

I'm in the market for new running shoes... thinking this would be a good time to get them. Will probably go shopping this weekend. Had a nice run the other day (tuesday) at lunch, not sure how far it it though.. Eau Claire to 14th st. bridge across memorial to Centre street bridge, across it and back to Eau Claire.

Hey all!
Michelle - here's another one that I do along the Bow...it s a 10km loop.

West from Eau Claire to Crowchild, across the foot bridge, east along Memorial Dr to Langevin Bridge, back around to Eau Claire.

Off to Penticton next week.

Re: Alberta Runner's Forum II
Golden right now crowchild seems so far away, I also don't have much more then 1 hour for lunch, so lunch runs have to be shorter.

Have fun in BC... I'm guessing hubby is doing something there?
