Hey Grizz, good to hear you are running. I've thought about doing that pathway, always wondering how long it was. Looks like it could be pretty hot though?

Well, I got 2 12 milers in, I wanted that 13 but I'm happy with the what I've done.

Welcome back Torque!

Welcome back torque!

Grizz - great to hear that you are back running. Hoping all continues to go well between now and the Police Half.

Michelle - are you getting excited?? I wish that I were in town that weekend to cheer you on. Just know that I'll be thinking of you and Grizz. You'll have a great day!

Hey Goldens!! where have you been?

I'm excited and nervous at the same time if possible. Still 2 weeks away so I'm trying just to think of each day. Getting in my runs and eating right. Starting to feel like I really should have tried to get in a 13 or 14 miler. Scared I'm going to konk out at 17 kms again. (oh yeah, I'm a worry wart.)

Are you in Toronto that weekend?

Re: Alberta Runner's Forum II
I wouldn't worry too much about not getting the 13 miler in. I'm sure you'll do fine. And if Grizz is with you, he be able to talk you through it.

I've been travelling, so haven't had the chance to post much, but I have been excited about following your training. Great job.

I have to travel overseas and so will be gone the weekend of your race...but I'll be cheering from afar.

Re: Alberta Runner's Forum II
oh yes, I remember, I'm actually going to get my long run (10 Miles, that should be ok) in today. (Friday) after I get back from taking the kids to a movie. I'm very busy the rest of the weekend, so I thought I'd do the longer one today, and get in a couple of smaller ones on the weekend.

So, 2 or 3 small runs next week? is that right? I'm getting nervous.

Grizz, how's your leg?

Re: Alberta Runner's Forum II
DH and I have taken our bikes down that path and back up the opposite direction to Chestermere...but alas...not a huge desire to run it alone. Definitely a group run thing...on an overcast day (as I don't think there is much shade along the canal).

Sounds like the leg is feeling better and better all the time! Way to go, Grizz. Are you still planning on doing the half next weekend?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,,,,

That was a good one Grizz. I would still enjoy the company and pacing as long as it won't hurt you.

Re: Alberta Runner's Forum II
So Grizz can you still get into my running log? If so, by looking at it, what do you think about a 10:40 pace for Sunday? That would be a finishing time of 2:20, that would be 15 min. faster then last years.

If you can't get in I'll give you access again tonight once I get home.
