Hey guys,

I ran the Coporate Run last night with TNT. It was a lot of fun but very crowded, 5200 people were there (most of them walkers) so I was weaving a lot trying to get around everyone. I hadn't run this week since Saturday (I was in Tampa and Orlando with the family) so I was proud that I ran as well as I did. I've been reading this book about staying focused and positive during a race and I used some of the techniques last night and felt the difference. My final time was 23:07 (1 second off from my PR) but I felt 100 times better in this race then I did in my PR race. I had enough energy to outkick quite a few people at the end. Now my new goal is to take 30 seconds off that time for my next race on 4/17. That may be too ambitious since it's just 2 weeks away. 30 seconds doesn't sound like a lot but with the way I was breathing last night, who knows!

That's great. Sounds like it was a wonderful week all the way around. We'll be doing the corperate challenge week after next. I expect my experence will be much like yours.

Stay focused (insert one of those smiley winking things here)

Happy Trails,
Bob

anybody here from Lake Mary and / or running on the lanes along Rinehart and Panera to 434?

When i'm running i never say "hi" to people because everyone seems so focused or conceited (or I myself am struggling, if it happens to be one of my so called "hard" days, hehe...)

just wanted to say "hi"

cheers

Next week I'm on spring break vacation in the West Palm Beach/Lake Worth area of south east florida. Are there any good running locations around there? Is it alright to run up the beach?

Morning,

That's a great strech to run on. The uphill going south from Lake Mary Blvd is a long pull. For those from out of town this is part of the Seminole County Trail system.

Happy trails,
Bob

For all you folks down south of Orlando. I've been thinking of you guy, and gals, a lot recently with all the wild fires. Sure hope all is ok and your not having any troubles. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Happy Trails,

Bob

Monday morning and just finished my run about two hours ago. I typically get up just before 5 and do 5 miles. My route takes me within a couple blocks of Florida Girls house. At any rate I just managed to beat the rain this morning and now it's pouring down and will be off and on for the next day and a half. Yelp, it's going to be a wet run tomorrow, but we need the ran.

Happy Trails,
Bob

Boy, do we need this rain! My lawn was looking very dry, and now it's getting greener and greener! I need to mow sometime this week.

Bob--I really need to take a picture of my subdivision sign (Clubhouse Point) and post it in the Clubhouse.

How's everyone doing? Anyone running the VA Beach Rock and Roll Half?

I have a digital camera. The bad news is it just went to Minnesota with Rosemary and won't be back for a week or so. That makes me a catagory B bachalor. I think the folks in the house would love the picture. I'm trying to bring my yard back from the grave.

Happy Trails.
Bob
