I'm just wanting to pass on some info for female runners and walkers in the Plano/Frisco/Allen (and surrounding) areas.

Thanks, kattzoo! In fact I was a bit slower than at Austin -- 3:19 and change. It was a tough day on a difficult course. I hoped my Texas training would help me deal with the heat, but that and maybe a few other factors slowed me down in the second half. But I had a blast!

I hope to get a full report posted in the next day or two.

sure i'm still game. We'll need 3 more people still though. 2 to make it 5 for the relay and one driver to pick-up at exchange points...anyone else interested...i'll ask a couple of people i know . I think the entry for a team is a flat fee for everyone like 90-100 total...any takers?

yeah i'm in the middle in mansfield so i'm on the way too unless your north, but i work out there.. see if you know anyone else who would want to run. i'll grab a flier at work today. we only need one entry for the whole team...we need a name too.......any suggestions..........

Well, I have yet to find anyone else. I have asked a couple people but it seems most everyone up there is already running the full marathon or injured and not currently running. So I have an entry form ready though, we have a month and i'm sur we can find twoo more people to join us. its a fun race and there is suppost to be good crowd support and "live entertainment" on the route. Its $130 split 5 ways so not too bad and we all get a cool long-sleeve relay shirt, and a fun time ......Let me know if you find anyone else.

Oh yeah we need a team name to guys....any suggestion

November 28. Not at the panic stage yet.

Cora, it occurred to me that Max and Ruthie might like to round out our team if they're not doing something else that day. (I'm sure they're not running the big one -- Ruthie told me once that they don't have time to train for a full marathon.) I'd be happy to track them down and ask them, unless you know them better than I do -- I just see them at races.

Any other suggestions?

Just an update Paul. Ruthie is already on another team, so we are still trying to fill the other two spots. I think this might be harder than what we had expected. Most teams formed a long time ago, and from what I understand, once a relay team is formed, and they work well together, they like to keep that team for all of their relays. So, we might have a problem.
