Eastern Iowa Runners

Anyone running around Eastern Iowa (Iowa City\North Liberty\Solon) area? I run the Lake McBride trail three times a week after work and twice on the weekend. Just getting back into running - will be doing 5k's and maybe a 10k this year.

Not to burst your bubble, but I'm from Des Moines. I just wanted to say "hi" since I've only been on this site a little while and haven't found another Iowan yet. Good luck on your running! I'm gearing up for the Des Moines Marathon in October. Maybe you might consider doing the half marathon. It's pretty cool.

I live in Dubuque. A little far from you, but welcome anyway! Dubuque has a fast 5K on Labor Day, along with a scenic but hilly 1/2 marathon.

It looks like the few Iowa runners that are here in Coolrunning are really sprinkled throught Eastern Iowa.

I am not really in your area either; I am up near Waterloo, but I know that Iowa City has a running club called the Iowa City Striders. They have a set of races coming up in October that you might be interested in.

WOW! Finally some Iowan's!! I will have to look into the IC club... I don't mind driving a couple hours to get to a race (or staying over night since most races are early in the AM!), lets post races and times that we do this year. I am no longer as swift as a deer, but can at least get to the finish line without Paramedics waiting in the wings!
