Hey Melissa,

There is always the Naples 1/2 in January.

Re: Indiana Runners
Good luck to the Tecumseh Trail folks! Looks like great weather for it!

Not many half-marathons around here during the winter, I'm afraid--though there's a 10-miler in Vincennes on Feb 26th, and the Siberian Express in Danville, IL, is a 7.6-mile trail run on January 8th. (I've done the latter race--it's a hoot.)

Finally, there's a 20K in Fort Wayne on March 19th, and a half-marathon in Carmel on March 20th (well, technically it's still winter). The Indy Runners race calendar has links to most of these -- at www.indyrunners.org.[/URL" target="_blank">

Re: Indiana Runners
Hi Indy runners,

It looks like I'm the only one from Evansville so far. Ran in the 1st E'ville half marathon in October. It was very well organized. Am planning to do the Louisville mini on April 30th.

I am old and swim competitively during the summers. Just started running last summer to keep motivated and in shape year-round. I didn't expect to get hooked!

Re: Indiana Runners
I just started running about October. I have lost about 40 pounds! I am up to just about 2 miles a day and plan to take it up to about 3 miles this month. I found this website just surfin by and found it very rewarding in the knee injury section since my knees are literally killing me. I will start trying some of the things that are recommended on this site.

I live in Canby southwest of Indy in Heartland Crossing. We have a great running route http://about 3.5 miles and more if you run through the various nieghborhoods.

Good luck on all of your training.

Re: Indiana Runners
I'm so tired of the rain here in Indy -- I signed up to do the Sunburst Marathon in South Bend in June. Woo hoo! I've never run it before, but I've thought about it for years, and now I'm finally going to do it.

Unfortunately it's supposed to snow tonight. I feel like I'm living in Seattle or something.

Re: Indiana Runners
Just checking in with fellow Hoosiers! I'm in Fishers. I've signed up for the Indy Mini, but I have a case of ITBS that hasn't resolved itself yet. I can't seem to get my mileage back up where it needs to be. Two doctors have told me to give up the idea, so I'm thinking I should probably heed their advice, but I'll keep on trekking to see how it goes for awhile. I might just have an entry to give someone!

Any Northern Indiana runners out there. I swear I'm the only one on this site from the South Bend / Mishawaka / Granger / Elkhart / Goshen area.

Prove me wrong!

I'm running this one as well!!! Great marathon... ran it last year. Looking forward to this one. Looks like they flip-flopped the bridges. That's about the only change.
