Bonjour - shame, was there. From 10:15 to about 11:50 - very slippery, gloomy, doubled up around the chalet, stopped to share my barre tendre with some squirrels and then headed to the Y for a hot shower.

Have a good week everyone,

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Hi, I'm very happy to have met you all! It wasn't an easy run, but I guess it's part of the mental training too! It was a fun experience to run in a group, can't wait to the next training. By the way when is the next training? I hope the next time will see some others add on to the run!!!

P.S. The hot shower was fantastic!

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Hey guys,

It was great to meet Omni & kneejerk for the first time and to see Mars & Lambchop again. The run was fabulous, A little tough at times, but a perfect way to begin the new year. Many thanks to Mars for "hanging" back with me, I really apprieciate it. I don't run hills very often as there are not many near my house, and I also don't run in groups very often at all either. Both were great, was great to push myself a bit on the hills, and fabulous to meet, run and chat with others at the same time. Tough footing, but just enough to keep your attention.

DF7, Sorry to have missed you, I am sure you would have seen Mars & I, there were not many other beagle's out there.

Anyway, here's to running another group run sometime soon. So with Mars leaving :-( for L.V. who is going to take over putting our group runs & socials together? My vote is for Mr. Lambchops...

Cheers, and happy new year to everyone.

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Hello.

I always come back from those group runs very happy and energized. Also, Omni and Mr. Lambshop pushed me to my limit with this added loop! Gulp! It was not something I thought I would do so soon.

Nice to meet you Omni. I appreciated your marathoning and 10k racing tips, stories and motivations.

Mr. Lambchop, great talking and getting to know you better.

Joeboxter, hope next time we'll get to talk more. Your dog Titus is too adorable with his little mitains.

And Mountmars... it will not be the same without you. :-(

So when is our next run Mr. Lambshop?

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Great Sunday run, folks !!

Omni3 is a quick draw.
Kneejerk is a tough cookie.
Joeboxer is a truck: he did the RunningRoom 5km resolution run on Saturday then joined us for roughly a 11km run-to-the-cross with his beagle on leash ! I second Mountmars: JoeBoxer is going under 1H00 on February 6th !!

I will take care of the group runs.. and the butt kicks.

Cityboy: how is your injury doing ?
DF7: Too bad we missed you. Next time.
Veronique & Grommit: Enjoy your vacations. You can run but you cannot hide for long !!

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Hey JB, yep, would of noticed a beagle, there wasn't alot of action up there - I'm feeling the "effect" of that slippery terrain , ankles, knees, even the ole backside...its a good place to run, add the hills to your training (one particular section has my name on it for repeats as soon as the ground is a bit better). When I haven't been up there in a while I feel it, très different from running the streets around my place. And don't know if it was that but boy did I have an appetite yesterday..got to go, busy, busy, busy...

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Hi

It looks like you had a fantastic time out there!
What is with the freezing rain anyway ? Was not able to ski today because of it. I'm thinking the 'running condition' aren't at their best either. Still had a great time at Jay Peak and skied yesterday. Three days without any running, I'm craving to go for a run ! I'm thinking about a 4 miles run tomorrow before my birthday party. First run of 2005! It should be fun.
I hope that i will be joining you soon. Are you always going to be running on sunday? I am available on saturdays (not this week though, my father's birthday) Anyway, we will see then !

kneejerk (or anyone interested in a short/slow run ): I'm thinking about a 4 miles run on either tuesday 11th night or wednesday 12th night. Let me know if you are interested !

My injury isn't healing as fast as I'd like. I'm going to have to see someone about it to make sure it's not serious. I've done no running since.

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Hi,

I went out this afternoon for a small 8km close to a fast pace. The tempeture was a lot more interesting then sunday!!!

Cityboy: if you go see a physio for your injury, I suggest ActionSport Physio, they know what to do with a sport injury because they work with a lot of athletes of all kinds of fields.

When is the next group training?

Bonne anniversaire ?! VC, j'espère que je ne trompe pas, its also your dad`s B Day as well ? The family will be busy !

CB - do you have someone already that you can call to help you out ? Is this a re-ocurring type of thing ? Better to look after it now, before the weather gets nice and this has you crawling up the walls cause you can't hoof, take care guy

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Good afternoon folks,

Joeboxer: Taking Mountmars for a drink might be a bit difficult. The big guy is leaving for Las Vegas by car this coming Saturday. Hey.. Mountmars.. any opening before departure ?

Cityboy: Hummm... While taking care of your injury, may I suggest you give your cardio some training.. any training.. PS: Being in love might not be enough, sorry.

VC: Happy birthday.

Omni3, Kneejerk & every Mtl CoolRunners: How about making our next run-to-the-cross this coming Sunday but a bit sooner, let say at 10H00AM ? I'll bring a thermos of hot chocolate in the car. DO WE HAVE A PLATOON HERE ? GIVE A SHOW OF HANDS.

Re: Montreal Runners Forum
Hi,

Thanks, yes today is my birthday !
I'm just in a horrible mood though, I just got an email that said that there was this 'fin de semaine de rapprochement' feb 5-6th. (I am in this 'Happening marketing team') I am so mad. I'm doing everything I can to get away from it. I really really really want to do the Défi de l'Île bizard.
And since it is my father's birthday at the cottage next sunday, I will not be able to make it again.
Argh. Everything is always getting in the way of my running plans.

Yesterday: Nice 4 miles run
This morning: an easy 3 miles run making sure HR<165
